BUT Capital One credit cards have been ramping up in a MAJOR way over the past couple years. Ever since they launched the Capital One Venture X credit card with premium rewards and benefits (like airport lounge access to the Capital One Lounge network, Priority Pass lounge network, and Plaza Premium lounge network), Capital One has positioned themselves as the new competitor to the premium travel credit card game. And here’s the really cool thing… Capital One allows you to convert cash back into miles! This means that if you own at least 1 Capital One Venture-branded card and 1 Capital One cash back credit card, then you can make this happen. NOTE: This is only a 1-way street, meaning you CAN transfer cash back into Capital One Venture miles, but you CANNOT transfer Capital One Venture miles into cash back. Examples of Capital One credit cards that you can use to make this work: - Capital One VentureOne ($0 annual fee) - Capital One Venture Rewards ($95 annual fee) - Capital One Venture X ($395 annual fee) - Capital One SavorOne ($0 annual fee) - Capital One Savor ($95 annual fee) - Capital One Quicksilver ($0 annual fee) This cash-to-miles conversion be done at a rate of 1¢ ($0.01) = 1 mile. So, if you had $125.60 of cash back, then that would become 12,560 miles. Capital One calls this feature ‘Move Rewards.’ Now for cash back rewards, you would NOT want to do this (because once you have miles, they lose 50% of their value if you redeem them for cash). BUT for TRAVEL, this is HUGE. Why? Because the Capital One Transfer Partners are where much larger value can be obtained (and some of the partners are very good). Transferring to partners is called ‘Convert Rewards.’ Here's the current list of Capital One Transfer Partners: Airlines - AeroMexico Club Premier - Air Canada Aeroplan - Air France KLM Flying Blue - Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Avianca LifeMiles - British Airways Executive Club - Emirates Skywards - Etihad Guest - EVA Air Infinity MileageLands - Finnair Plus - Qantas Frequent Flyer - Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer - TAP Miles&Go - Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles - Virgin Red Hotels - ALL (Accor Live Limitless) - Choice Privileges - Wyndham Rewards 🔗 Capital One Card Benefits Guide (Travel + Retail Protections) https://www.capitalone.com/credit-cards/benefits-guide/ 🔗 Capital One Uber Benefits Info https://www.capitalone.com/learn-grow/more-than-money/complimentary-uber-benefits/ And since the Capital One Venture X has some awesome benefits (including a $300 travel credit and a 10,000-mile anniversary bonus), recouping the cost of the annual fee can be incredibly easy, even by taking a single trip!
