Point Value: Make Amex Membership Rewards points worth a minimum of 1.0¢ each for ALL redemption types. American Express offers a variety of ways to redeem. Here are the main ways, plus their current point values: - Cover Your Card Charges (i.e. cash back as a statement credit): 0.6¢ - Pay with Points at Checkout (PayPal): 0.7¢ - Redeem for Gift Cards: 0.5¢ - 1.0¢ - Book or Upgrade Travel: 0.7¢ - 1.0¢ - Transfer Points: Varies - Go Shopping: 0.5¢ Ever wondered how to redeem Amex points for maximum value? That will almost always be via Amex transfer partners (which requires research & a strategic approach in order to make it work well in your favor). That’s definitely not for most people, so following Chase & U.S. Bank to make 1.0¢ per point the standard redemption value (almost) across the board would be awesome. 2. Overcrowding has become a major issue and needs to be solved. 8. Rental Car Insurance: Include complimentary primary coverage.
