Why It’s In My Wallet
To earn 3X points on my hotel on an upcoming trip. I'm staying at the Delano hotel in Las Vegas. While you can book this hotel through Hyatt due to the partnership, going directly through MGM Resorts gave me a 40% discount if I stayed 3 nights or longer (which I'm doing). So, while I'd normally use the World of Hyatt credit card, in this case it would only earn 1X points (instead of 4X) because I didn't book through Hyatt. That means the Amex Green Card was my next best option, which earns 3X on 'Travel' and includes all hotels worldwide.
CREDIT CARD #7: CHASE SAPPHIRE PREFERRED
Welcome Bonus
Earn 60,000 Ultimate Rewards points after spending $4,000 in the first 3 months, PLUS up to $50 in statement credits towards grocery store purchases within your first year after account opening.
