WHY IT’S UNIQUE
The X1 Credit Card is unique in the following ways:
- The X1 Card DOES NOT use your credit score or credit report for approval OR assigning credit limit. Instead, it looks at your current income and future / expected income.
- The X1 Card has a GENEROUS rewards program
- The X1 Card allows you to end subscriptions with 1 click.
- The X1 Card can issue temporary virtual card numbers, which is great if you purchase subscriptions or trials that bill your credit card later (but you’d rather cancel)
- The X1 Card is a metal credit card with no annual fee. Specifically, it’s weighs 17g, is made out of stainless steel, and is laser etched.

This is currently unknown because the card doesn’t actually exist yet :D The X1 Card waitlist is currently open though so you can be one of the first to get the card when it launches.
X1 CREDIT CARD FEES
- NO annual fee
- NO late fees
- NO foreign transaction fees
- YES “borrowing fees” / aka “interest charges” when you carry a balance
EARNING REWARDS
- Earn 2X points on everything (standard rate)
- Earn 3X points on everything (when you spend $15K/yr. annually on the X1 Card)
- Earn 4X points on everything (when you refer others, each approved referral gives you 30 days of earning at the 4X rate)
There is no cap on the amount of credit card rewards points you can earn, and your rewards points do not expire.
REDEEMING REWARDS
Redeem points to cover charges at select merchants, including: Airbnb, Alaska Airlines, JetBlue, Delta Airlines, Adidas, Nike, Ikea, Wayfair, Peloton, REI, and other retailers.
Points seem to be worth 1¢ each given the example they show on their website (redeeming 15,000 points to cover a $150 purchase at Apple).
It’s TBD if the points will always have a 1¢ value, or if they will vary by merchant or if promotional periods will become available.
No indication if pure cash back will be an option (so far it doesn’t seem like it).
COOL FEATURES OF THE X1 VISA CARD
- Metal credit card (17g pure stainless steel)
- Earn 2X, 3X, or 4X points on all purchases* (must qualify, details below)
- Higher limits than standard credit cards (up to 5X higher credit limits)
- End free trials automatically with auto-expiring virtual credit cards

YES if you…

- Want a higher-limit card (potentially)
- Shop at their point-redemption merchants
- Spend $15,000+ on credit per year
- Want to experience the ‘future of credit cards’

NO if you…
