Both of these travel credit cards are phenomenal choices to save money on travel, but one might be a better match for you than the other.
In this video, I’m going to compare these 2 metal credit cards so you can save a bunch of money on your next vacation :-)
Before we get into the details, let’s first understand what Chase considers to be ‘travel.’
Airlines, hotels, motels, timeshares, car rental agencies, travel agencies, discount travel sites, campgrounds, passenger trains, buses, taxis, limousines, ferries, toll bridges, highways, parking lots, and garages.
^ These are the types of credit card transactions that will ‘trigger’ the travel bonus categories and travel credit mentioned in the video.

And what are the points worth?
Chase Ultimate Rewards points, in general, are worth:
1 point = 2¢ on average when redeemed via the Chase travel portal
1 point = 1.5¢ when redeemed via the Chase travel portal with the Chase Sapphire Reserve
1 point = 1.25¢ when redeemed via the Chase travel portal with the Chase Sapphire Preferred
1 point = 1¢ when redeemed with either the Chase CSP or Chase CSR for cash back
