The Citi AAdvantage Executive World Elite Mastercard is an excellent travel credit card and airline credit card. However, if I get approved, I don’t plan to use it for my everyday spending. Rather, I hope to keep it open for the benefits with American Airlines rather than the rewards. The ability to earn 4X American miles is tempting; it’s a decent return (so that might be 1 type of purchase I put on the card). But the 2 areas where this American Airlines credit card really shine for me are: 1. Admirals Club Membership. Airport lounges are commonplace these days, but many of them may be located in inconvenient areas based on the gate you’re flying out of. The great thing about American Airlines Admirals Clubs is that they’re usually located very close to your departing gate when flying AA, so you won’t have to worry about walking a long distance, using sky trams, or exiting and re-entering security just to go to a lounge. 2. VIP Airport Experience. The card gives you priority check-in, priority security, and priority boarding privileges where available, and these benefits extend to up to 8 people traveling on the same reservation.
